Our History

Arnie Haug and his wife Arlene opened their first store in 1972, followed by a second. In 1984 he sold the two stores and opened his first Cub store in Minnetonka MN. This store was followed by a second Cub store which opened in 1990 in Coon Rapids MN.

Haug Companies is still wholly owned by the Arnie and Arlene’s family and is now operated by the third generation. In addition, the company owns and operates a full-service grocery store in Old Town Florida. We will be the known as the choice supermarkets in the three communities we proudly serve. We are fully committed to our Employees, providing the Freshest and Highest quality products, providing Exemplary Customer Service, and long-standing Community Involvement.

We pride ourselves in having and operating neat and clean stores and offering the highest quality perishable and non-perishable food products.  Our goal is and always will be to treat our customers and fellow employees with the highest courtesy and respect.
